Join us at The Wandering Lantern for a cozy and creative evening of learning the timeless art of embroidery! Local crafters Heather and Jackie will guide beginners through the basic stitches and techniques of hand embroidery in a relaxed, welcoming environment designed for creativity, conversation, and making something meaningful with your hands.
All supplies will be provided, including embroidery hoops, fabric, thread, needles, and practice materials. Participants are also encouraged to bring a jacket, tote bag, hat, pencil pouch, jeans, or another fabric item they’d love to personalize with cute stitched details or patches. We’ll explore simple ways to add personality and charm to everyday things using embroidery — a skill you can carry with you for life.
Whether you’ve never picked up a needle before or just want a creative night out to slow down and make something beautiful, this workshop is all about learning, experimenting, and enjoying the process. Embroidery is not only relaxing and rewarding, but also a wonderful way to express yourself, mend and customize clothing, and create handmade details that make ordinary objects feel special and uniquely yours.
Expect warm tea, good music, colorful thread, and the simple joy of creating something by hand in community with others. Leave with new skills, new inspiration, and a project you’ll be proud of.
