Join us for storytimes, author visits, and special celebrations. Each event is designed to spark imagination and foster a love of reading in children of all ages.
Join us this month for 'The Secret Garden' by Frances Hodgson Burnett.
Ages 6-12Two yoga sessions, one cozy bookstore. Jena from Camp Sunshine leads Parent & Tot at 5 PM and Kids Yoga at 6 — movement, music, games, and stories.
Ages 1-10Four mornings of fairy tales, pretend play, and puppet-making at The Wandering Lantern and Wagar Park. Your child heads home with a handmade friend and a story to tell.
Ages Rising kindergartenersA week of summer evenings being loud, silly, and expressive at Wagar Park — then walking into the bookstore to turn it all into a performance. Ends with a showcase Friday night.
Ages Rising 6th–7th gradersJoin us this month for 'The Wind in the Willows' by Kenneth Grahame.
Ages 6-12Grab a brush and paint alongside your little one. Ohio City Art House brings a guided painting class to The Wandering Lantern — no experience needed, just show up and create something together.
Ages 3+A real silhouette artist, right here in the bookstore. Chris Casey cuts your child's profile in minutes — a keepsake that lasts forever. Book your slot ahead of time.
Ages All agesStory Karaoke runs 11–2. Abby Dosen signs books 11–12:30. Face painting until 1pm. Teen poets at 3:30. The Lakewood Music Academy demos at 4:30. Plus all-day raffle, scavenger hunt, and craft activity. It's our biggest day of the year.
Ages All agesJoin us this month for 'Winnie the Pooh' by A.A. Milne.
Ages 6-12A Fairview Park scientist who writes picture books. Two nature stories. Two days before Earth Day. Kellie DuBay Gillis is your neighbor — and she's coming to story time.
Ages All agesCut, stack, and build — layer by layer, you'll create a paper art piece with real depth and dimension. A hands-on evening workshop inspired by the intricate papercut art of Marina Papercuts. $15 per person.
