The Wandering Lantern is heading to **Inkubator 2026**! Visit our book fair table at Cleveland Public Library during the in-person conference on **September 11–12**. Come say hello, browse our book selection, and celebrate Cleveland’s vibrant community of writers and readers with us.
Ages All agesPaint. Play. Connect. This family class is an easy, joyful way to bond through art. With a thoughtful methodology, you'll spend an hour pleasantly painting and leave with a beautiful piece you’ll both be proud of. No pressure. No perfection. Just fun, connection, and creativity. The class is adapted to each family's ages and capacities, though it is recommended for ages over 3.
Ages 3+Join us this month for 'The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe' by C.S. Lewis.
Ages School age kidsCozy up at The Wandering Lantern for our monthly **Family Classics Read-Aloud**. We’ll begin a beloved classic together, giving families a warm introduction to the story and inspiration to keep reading at home. Our December selection is *The Railway Children* by E. Nesbit.
Ages All agesSave the date! Author **Kelly Tooman**, creator of *The Birthday Triplets*, is coming to The Wandering Lantern on **August 30** for a special children’s creative writing workshop. More details and registration information are coming soon!
Ages 12-18Join local Lakewood boutique Mapachas at The Wandering Lantern on August 29th from 1–3 PM for a special Back-to-School Edit Bar Pop-Up! Kids can choose patches and customize their own backpack, pencil pouch, or other school-ready item to make it completely their own. Come create something fun for the new school year and support two local Lakewood businesses at once!
Ages All agesJoin local illustrator Kristen Kantounatakis for a silly special Story Time featuring Paula the Poop Pal! Kristen will read the book, answer questions, sign and sell copies, and help families create their own “Poop Pal” craft. Come ready for potty talk, digestive adventures, and plenty of giggles!
