We are SO excited to welcome author Matthew Swinehart and his real-life therapy dog Nola to The Wandering Lantern — just days after their brand-new book hits shelves!

Nola the Noble Corgi Visits the Hospital releases March 10th, and Matthew and Nola will be here on March 21st to celebrate with two storytimes at 11:00 AM and 11:30 AM. This is as fresh as it gets — come be part of the launch excitement!

Meet Nola

Nola isn't just a storybook character — she's the real deal. A certified therapy dog, Nola visits hospitals to bring comfort, calm, and smiles to patients and families. She's gentle, sweet, and absolutely loves meeting kids. In the book (and in real life), Nola shows that dogs can do big, meaningful things for the people around them.

What to Expect

• Storytime with Matt — two sessions at 11:00 AM and 11:30 AM, each with a full reading of Nola the Noble Corgi Visits the Hospital
• Meet Nola — say hi to the real Nola after storytime and see what a therapy dog is all about
• Q&A with the author — ask Matthew about Nola, the book, and what it's like to write with your dog as your co-star
• Signing — get your copy signed by Matthew (and maybe paw-printed by Nola 🐾)

This is a free drop-in event. Both story time sessions cover the same content, so pick the time that works best for your family. All ages welcome — from tiny tots who just love corgis to older kids who want to learn about therapy dogs and what they do.
