Step Inside a Story

Four magical mornings of pretend play, fairy tales, puppet-making, and imaginative fun. Camp takes place at The Wandering Lantern and across the street at Wagar Park, where the playground and field become a second classroom full of room to play, create, and explore.

Led by Melissa Vincel and Fé Beatty, this small-group camp is designed to be uplifting, structured, and full of creativity. Each child will head home with a handmade "friend" and a story to share from the day.

• Limited to 12 campers with 2 instructors
• Held at The Wandering Lantern and Wagar Park
• Bring lunch and a water bottle each day
• Drop-off and pick-up on Park Place at the lower field of Wagar Park

About the Instructors

Melissa Vincel is a Lakewood-based writer, editor, and teaching artist who works with young writers and directs the Theater Club at Grant Elementary. She loves helping kids build confidence, community, and connection through creative play.

Fé Beatty is a storyteller, composer, playwright, and performer studying Composition and English at Ohio State, with minors in Dance and Theatre. They bring imagination, playfulness, and a love of collaboration to every creative space.
